Tiptree Symposium

December 2, 2016 - December 3, 2016

The 2016 James Tiptree Jr. Symposium: A Celebration of Ursula K. LeGuin is happening on the UO campus  Friday and Saturday. You can find the entire schedule of events here: https://library.uoregon.edu/tiptree-symposium-2016

I would like to particularly highlight two events featuring members of the Multi-ethnic Futurisms Reading Group:

FRIDAY 2-3pm UO Prof. Edmond Chang’s Feminist SF students on The Word for World is Forest

SATURDAY 11am-12pm “Le Guin’s Fiction as Inspiration for Activism” will be moderated by our very own Joan Haran, UO and Cardiff University, Wales. Panelists include Adrienne Maree brown and Grace Dillon, Indigenous Nations Studies Program, Portland State University.

Of course, all of the panels and events will be worth attending.
